Process
Economics Program (PEP)
Since 1963, the Process Economics Program (PEP) has provided
in-depth, independent technical and economic reports for commercial
and emerging technologies in the chemical and refining industries.
PEP reduces the time and cost associated with collecting and
interpreting the voluminous information needed to assess new
technologies. Since its inception the PEP Program has covered
over 2,000 processes.
REPORTS AND REVIEWS
Available in electronic and printed format, PEP Reports and Reviews
are universally acknowledged as the industry standard for technoeconomic
evaluations of chemical process technologies. (Read

| POLYETHYLENE, LINEAR LOW DENSITY |
LLDPE has established itself as the third major member of the global polyethylene business along with LDPE and HDPE. This report examines four LLDPE processes that are practiced commercially: a fluidized-bed gas-phase process, two solution processes, and a slurry loop process. The report evaluates the production economics of one nameplate grade for each process based on single-line production capacities of 400,000 ton/yr.
